Customer Service/Support - Managing Data

Under general supervision, perform routine to complex records maintenance including research, analysis and compilation of data.  The principal emphasis is on obtaining, verifying and standardizing (improving) information from multiple sources of a specialized nature and the accurate data entry of this information into major systems (MZ, Mworld, iMIS, Regx, BusWeb).  The prioritization of administrative activities and quality control of work flow is critical to ensure efficient turnaround while working independently at the highest technical level.  Requires independent judgment and the ability to resolve non-routine problems as well as interpret policy & procedures.


1. Input, review & update customer information in multiple databases using varied formats
2. Complete order, billing transactions & collects payment for Membership dues
3. Monitor essential functions to ensure quality control and timely response
4. Search & audit files and records for discrepancies; making corrections, notifying appropriate person(s)
5. Receive requests, resolve problems & complaints;
6. Prepare forms, letters, reports, etc. from drafts/templates
7. Prepare & distribute scheduled reports in established formats
8. Maintain procedure documentation for all work processes 
9. Open, processes & route daily fax/mail/e-mail receipts for AMA SALK  
10. Respond to customer e-mails or phone calls, placing follow-up calls or e-mails to gather additional information and resolve 
11. Operate standard office equipment, including hi-definition scanners, PC's, copy equipment; servicing & reporting problems
12. Provide inbound telephone support to AMA's customers
13. Assumes responsibility for team member's tasks in their absence
14. Assist with special projects as required
15. Performs other related duties as requested by team members or manager


• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with 2 years clerical and/or customer service experience. Additional related education may be substituted for required work experience
• Basic word processing and computer skills with a minimum of 35 words per minute or equivalent data entry keystrokes
• Working knowledge of general office practice, procedures and business language.
• Able to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willing to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
