    AMA is looking for a Learning Solutions Manager (LSM) who will be the owner and point person for AMA Project Management and other learning content, project delivery and the entire customer experience. The LSM will lead the development of creative, meaningful and relevant content for delivery at AMA training engagements across modalities. The LSM will provide market insight, thought-leadership and subject matter expertise, enabling AMA to better assess industry trends and respond to customer needs. The LSM will collaborate with the marketing team to develop integrated marketing plans. The LSM will partner with the sales team to engage directly with our B2B customers to develop training engagements, including content adaptation, faculty alignment and travel to client sites and attending pilot programs when necessary. 



    Client Engagement

    • Lead overall client engagement. 
    • Utilize Clarizen to ensure that all project management documents and processes are completed for the client engagement, including permissions approval, contracts, project plans and client sign-off documents.
    • Execute participant communication strategies, customer internal marketing and participant measurement tools.
    • Work with clients to effectively and accurately set delivery expectations.
    • Efficiently partner with internal teams including: Resource Coordinators, Learning Technologies, Graphics Production, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Senior Management Group.
    • Plan delivery and resource budgets for each client engagement.
    • Manage the deployment of all delivery modalities: Classroom, Live Online, Virtual, print materials, e-notebooks, Web-based content, Mobile, etc.
    • Provide content, faculty and related input for assigned RFP opportunities


    Content - Project Management

    • Strategy and Development 
      • Provide content thought-leadership
      • Lead and manage instructional design process
      • Assess, monitor and manage the portfolio strategy from content, quality, marketing and financial perspective to ensure cohesion with overall AMA strategy
      • Plan and prioritize content development and revisions
      • Work with Learning Technologies, Instructional Designers  and SMEs to develop and/or migrate content to new modalities based on client need and market trends.
      • Acquire new content for existing and new products
      • Review evaluations and customer comments; work with faculty management and resource coordinators to resolve issues
      • Handle low ratings and involve Customer Care as appropriate


    • Faculty 
      • Assess faculty needs based on changes in market demand, technology improvements, and product evolution.
      • Recruit faculty candidates, including scheduling interviews and demonstrations/presentations with faculty candidates.
      • Team with Resource Coordinators on faculty usage and selection. 
      • Collaborate with Resource Coordinators and Faculty Coordinator to diagnose and resolve faculty issues or emergencies. 
    • Marketing and Sales 
      • Collaborate with regional directors to assist in the acquisition of new and existing clients for new and existing content
      • Work collaboratively with sales teams on products and services and share market and customer information
      • Participate in business development activities including pre-sales meetings with clients and sales team
      • Provide SMEs and content to support Digital Media group to support webcasts and webinars


    Other related duties





    • BA/BS degree required, advanced degree is preferred
    • PMP preferred (Required for managing the Project Management curriculum)
    • Minimum 7+ years’ experience managing complex learning projects
    • Experience in developing and managing project plans
    • Experience in content thought leadership, strategy and development
    • Ability to collaborate with Marketing and Sales to align and develop integrated marketing and sales strategy around content portfolio
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work across functional teams
    • Advanced knowledge of Instructional Design (“ID”), Organizational Development (“OD”) and various learning modalities
    • Strong Business Acumen
    • Well-informed about workplace learning, professional development, and learning technologies
    • Travel in according with business needs
