    AMA is looking for a talented Analyst to join the Marketing team. This position will focus on building a reporting and analysis framework for AMA’s promotional & marketing investments and our Inside/Telesales operation. You will develop business intelligence reports to drive growth, enhance processes and support the team in value-added projects. The role is highly cross-functional and will require coordination across several groups within AMA, including digital, print, telesales, email, product marketing and sales. You will gain invaluable experience in a position which offers significant responsibility and interaction with management. Successful candidates must be action oriented, have exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know how to balance getting the details right, while still moving fast. 

    Responsibilities

    The Analyst, Marketing and Customer Insights will be responsible for the following:

     

    This role will challenge the candidate to understand and contribute to the many facets of the AMA’s multi-channel marketing and sales programs, including strategic support, forecasting, data management, and executive reporting.

    • Analyze marketing & sales data and make recommendations to enhance business processes and profitability
    • Create insightful marketing dashboards:
      • Develop and monitor key performance indicators/business statistics for assigned areas
      • Highlight trends and conduct variance analyses
    • Build forecasts that Identify financial risks and opportunities to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to meet goals
    • Identify key customer segments and profiles
    • Model customers at the individual, site and company level
    • Increase performance of marketing & sales programs by analyzing existing and new campaigns and making recommendations to drive efficiencies and improve ROI
    • Build, maintain, and modify customer acquisition and retention-based revenue models, determining lifetime value
    • Play a key role in the continued improvement/development of reporting tools
    • Maintain thorough knowledge of data/information sources
    • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis as needed

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree with focus in statistics or analysis; MBA preferred
    • Minimum 5 years marketing analysis experience in a challenging corporate environment
    • Excellent analytical and modeling skills and a strong ability to analyze and interpret marketing & sales data
    • Advanced mathematical skills with a demonstrated ability to perform calculations and financial analysis on moderately complex data
    • Ability to use historical trends to develop dynamic forecasting models
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and proven business partnership skills with a bias towards strategic thinking
    • Organized, accurate, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and balance multiple priorities.
    • Team player with a positive attitude and a focus on learning with a continuous improvement mindset
    • Advanced Excel user and strong overall systems knowledge (Such as CRM systems, SQL, MS Access, Statistical analysis, Google Analytics, Marketo and SalesForce)
