AMA is looking for a Director of Sales for our Corporate Learning Solutions division, who will be responsible for driving revenue through account and territory management, while managing a sales team to achieve individual quotas and organizational goals.

 

Location: NYC - AMA Headquarters

 

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed business plan to reach assigned goals and quotas.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Content Management, and other functions to support quota attainment.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing the sale.
  • Manage both existing and develop new relationships, in current book of business, as well as attain new logos.
  • Manage and coach all team members by providing advice, examples, and ideas to help them achieve their individual goals.
  • Build and develop a team environment where both Sales and support functions collaborate to provide flawless execution for AMA clients.
  • Support team members on various customer activities (sales calls, proposals, etc.)
  • Ensure that client experiences are positive to drive the highest possible renewal and account penetration.
  • Enforce a disciplined approach to pricing and discounting with an emphasis on creating value for customers.
  • Manage to exceed sales targets and provide timely forecast reporting.
  • Other related duties.

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 10 + years broad business and
  • 7 + years industry experience required (Management and Professional Learning & Development)
  • Solid background in achieving quota and organizational objectives.
  • 5 + years hands-on sales management experience, required. 
  • AMA-Certified Professional in Management, preferred.
  • Energetic, positive can-do attitude, through intelligence and insight. Garners the respect of others throughout the company.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop clear direction and tactics that meet overall business plan.
  • Travel in accordance with business need.
